Czech prime minister’s e-mails hacked

Some 80 e-mails were stolen from Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka’s account, according to server Lidovky.cz
The messages were posted on an extremist white power website that opposed refugees and immigration. Many of the messages were between Sobotka and his adviser Ota Novotný and referred to the refugee crisis. Sobotka on the government website Vlada.cz referred to it as a matter for the police and did not elaborate on the specifics.
“I will not let repeated hacker attacks on my person and on the politics I promote in any way intimidate or influence me. The government will continue to promote its program and meet the commitments that we have given the citizens of our country,” he said in a statement.
Government spokesman Martin Ayrer confirmed that the police are looking into the matter.
This is not the first time the prime minister has faced hackers. His Twitter account was hijacked Dec. 23 by what seems to be the same right-wing group. The group changed the prime minister’s address to “cesspool” and used the account to send out anti-immigrant messages.
